Homemade Halloween Costumes are the BEST!
Last year, I made with the help of my good friend Shauna, an adorable Dragon costume for my then 2 1/2 year old. Everybody loved it! She went Trick-or-treating in the Malibu Colony and Denise Richards could not get enough of adorable Cassidy in her Dragon costume!
I also made my then 4 month old daughter into a pea in the pod. It was so damn hot though, I wore the thing for 5 minutes, and then took it off. My husband snapped one photo of me, and I don't look too happy, do I? I really wish I was better at taking pictures of the things I make! The pea in the pod costume was so cute. I had a whole vine of sweet pea flowers and leaves that I wrapped around me. But you can't see it because I didn't get a good picture! AHHH! I could kick myself! Hard!
This year I am working on a "Nice Witch" (according to Cassidy) costume. I'm just going to make a witch costume for her, and tell her to be nice to people. There. A nice witch. No princess "Glenda" witches here, she's goin' all green and ugly! My 15 month old daughter will be her side kick as a black cat. Promise to post pics as soon as I have them...
So we (Shauna and I) made this costume last year when the blog was just something brewing in my head, so I have no idea how to tell you to make it. We basically just went to the craft store, picked out some green felt, accessories and winged it. If you are interested in making this costume, email me, and I'll explain it better for you. Or, if you're in the area, you can borrow ours.
